Summer job: Software developer for PCRS

Professors Campbell, Gries, Petersen, and Smith are looking for a student software developer to work full time (up to 36.25 hours per week) between April 30 and August 17 (for 14 weeks) at $27.89 per hour plus holiday pay. Work will occur in Bahen, on the St. George campus, during normal business hours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new features for and supporting the deployment of the Programming Classroom Resource System (PCRS, https://mcs.utm.utoronto.ca/~pcrs/pcrs).

Responsibilities include implementing and testing features related to a self-paced version of CSC108. The successful candidate will also be responsible for bug fixes and will be expected to adhere to the software process used by the team.

PCRS is based on the Django framework, so experience with Python and web frameworks is desirable. Experience or demonstrated interest in usability design is also an asset.

To apply, please email a cover letter, your resume, and your transcript to instrsupport@cs.toronto.edu with subject: PCRS Software Developer.

Your cover letter should briefly explain why you’re a good candidate for the position.

The deadline is Thursday March 29th by noon, or until the position is filled. We expect to hold the interviews during the first week of April.
