WHAT DOES THIS JOB ENTAIL?

The Software Developer will contribute to the development of software applications and solutions for our Artificial Intelligence driven sensing solutions designed for the food and agriculture sector. The successful individual will immediately contribute by developing full software applications by designing user-friendly and intuitive GUIs, database architecture, and integrating them with our sensing technologies through the use of SDKs. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring that appropriate software platforms are used to complement the hardware for optimal performance and meeting customer requirements.

WHAT EXACTLY WOULD YOU BE DOING?

  • Take a leading role in software development based on customer requirements,
  • Propose, design, and implement application and GUI software solutions for select sensors and sensing products,
  • Understand overall customer product requirements and how they relate to software design while building food sector process knowledge,
  • Ensure appropriate software platforms are used to complement the hardware for optimal performance, meeting customer requirements,
  • Design, execute and report on user acceptance testing and destructive testing,
  • Create automated testing processes, build and maintain test databases to speed up code verification,
  • Build, maintain and document code management system with version control,
  • Provide support in development and participation in workshops, conferences and other events, working with internal and external stakeholders,
  • Provide second line support for customer issues,
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary members of the team,
  • Fulfill additional work-related duties as required / assigned,
