Android AND/OR Back-end Developer

Overview

DogEar is a news sharing application designed to promote social connection over diverse and trustworthy news. DogEar aspires to provide a better environment for sharing the news.

Internship Description

DogEar is looking for a creative software engineer to contribute the development of our social news app. We have many interesting opportunities at DogEar, from back-end development to the building of our android app.

Internship Goals

  • Achieve the SMART goals set for the specific development project selected at DogEar
  • Ensure the development project allows for high performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
  • Help maintain code quality, documentation, organization, and automatization

Qualifications

  • Working towards/completed Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline
  • Completed courses in algorithm design
  • 2+ years of software engineering academic or professional experience
  • Experience with backend development with object oriented programming languages: Python, Ruby, Swift, Java etc.
