The University of Toronto Students’ Union (UTSU) is hiring a Web Developer for the late Summer through early Fall. The Web Developer will be working on the design and development of a new online budget visualization project. The Web Developer also supports and maintains the UTSU’s website, ensuring it is highly functional, up-to-date, and accessible.
Requirements :
- Must be enrolled in a post-secondary degree program
- Professional or extra-curricular experience working with front-end web development
- Professional or extra-curricular experience developing large Python applications is an asset
- Experience with data munging and processing is an asset
- Interest in financial accounting and data science is an asset
- Interest in the UTSU’s operations and priorities is an asset
Responsibilities :
- Working collaboratively to design, build, and test an interactive and user-friendly budgetary web application
- Monitoring and maintaining the UTSU’s online content
- Working to improve the UTSU website’s functionality and accessibility
Position type: Part-time (up to 25 hours per week) contract until 31 October 2018, renewable upon approval until 30 April 2019. This position is supervised by the Vice-President, Operations.
Location: University of Toronto, St. George Campus
Compensation: $18/hour
