Call for Applications - A New Course-Based Master Program in Data Science at the University of Alberta
The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences is launching a new Course-Based Master Program in Modeling, Data and Predictions (MDP).
The MDP Program is an innovative training program that prepares students for data-science related careers in industry and government.
The MDP program is designed to provide skills in data modeling (mathematical, statistical and machine-learning modeling), data analytics, programming and computation. The program also provides industrial internship opportunities and professional development workshops to help students learn important soft skills for the workspace.
The MDP Program is a professional Master program without the higher tuition for professional degree programs.
After the Department’s graduate application deadline, January 15, 2021, the MDP program will continue to accept applications until all positions are filled. Please email your MDP program application package directly to jccoope1@ualberta.ca for pre-screening by our Director and Faculty Mentors (including Resume or CV, Statement of Purpose, Transcripts, Degree Certificates, and any English Language Certification documents).
Visit the MDP website for information on programs, admission requirements, tuition and fees, and application procedures: https://sites.ualberta.ca/~mathirl/MDP/MDP_index.html
