Moody’s Analytics AXIS actuarial system is widely used by life insurers, reinsurers, and consulting firms for pricing, reserving, asset and liability management (ALM), financial modeling, capital calculations, and hedging. The AXIS actuarial system provides the flexibility to deploy large-scale computing power through an advanced cloud-based delivery platform or installed software.
Job Description
As an intern Actuarial Software Developer, your role will entail working independently alongside actuaries and actuarial students in a team environment:
» Designing and implementing new features for AXIS using C++ programming
» Testing, reconciling features and troubleshooting issues for clients
» Writing technical implementation specs and presenting jobs in team meetings
Job Qualifications
A typical candidate usually meets at least three of the four criteria:
» You have completed at least two actuarial exams
» Have a CGPA of 3.0 / 80.0% or higher
» Completed at least one previous work term (actuarial or computer science related)
» Possess a Computer science background or have an interest in programming
