For first-year students: CSC198- Computing for science

First-year students interested in taking CSC108 who do not plan to take CSC148 can consider taking CSC198 - Computing for Science.

This course is targeted at students in other science-related disciplines who are looking to learn computational skills. **CSC198 has 4 hours of contact time: 1 hour of lecture followed by 3 hours of hands-on activities in a **
small-class setting with the support of the course instructors. The majority of coursework is completed during class time.

CSC198 requires no prior programming experience, however it is not an adequate substitute for CSC108 for students planning to take CSC148.

More information on CSC198 can be found here: http://www.cs.toronto.edu/~jsmith/c4sci.html
