This opportunity is remote and will consider candidates from across Canada. As a Data Science student joining the Digital Office team, you would own the following responsibilities:

  • Support the Digital Office with the development & delivery of technical solutions
  • Take ownership of programming and end-to-end tasks around product creation
  • Engage key stakeholders from internal teams to understand requirements
  • Collaborate in an agile environment to solve technical issues
  • Ask for help and guidance as required

Your experience and education

  • You are working toward a degree in computer science or software engineering
  • You are passionate about working with AI & Machine Learning technology
  • You have strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • You are able to work independently and enjoy taking ownership of projects

While we can list several technologies and tools as a requirement, we are rather more interested in how you approach and analyze a problem to devise a solution. You can choose your technology of choice to code a solution, however, here are some that we like working with:

  • Cognitive Computing & Data Science: Numpy, Pandas, Scikit Learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow and Apache Spark.
  • Frameworks and Packages: Java/J2EE, React.js, MEAN.
  • Languages: Python, R, Java.
  • Platforms: Azure Cognitive Services, Azure DevOps, Azure/Jupyter Notebooks, Google AI, Amazon Sagemaker.
  • Databases: MySQL , GraphQL, Neo4j
