Dynamic Graphics Project is looking for an undergraduate student to contribute to a Graphics/Computer Vision research project, while earning credits for the work.
The motivation is to adapt some mature computer vision methods to work on non-photorealistic video sequences, often found in cartoons and animated films.
Experience with scripting and / or 3D software (Blender, in particular) is required, and CS majors are preferred.
The project will involve a diverse set of tasks including Python and bash scripting, experimenting with non-realistic rendering styles, running and analyzing computer vision experiments, working with code in a variety of languages, including MATLAB and C++. Exact tasks will be tailored to the student’s skills and interests. The project will allow a student to gain familiarity with graphics research and some computer vision methods, and to contribute to research advancing the state of the art.
