The Centre for Community Partnerships allows students to get experience in community involvement through various volunteering opportunities, as well as get recognized on their co-curricular record.
Community Days Project is one of the program where once a month, students and the volunteer coordinator gets together and connects with one of our community partners (this year, they are the St. Alban’s Boys and Girls Club, and Kensington Health) to spend a couple of hours participating in a number of activities with them. Such activities may include (but not limited to): arts and crafts, listening to music, sports, swimming, and more!
Community Days provides our volunteers with skills which will improve their post-secondary learning experience and enable them to receive recognition on their CCR. Since the project also only requires a few hours out of their timetable, it is a great way to get involved and learn more about the community work around them!
