Community Days Initiative w/ CCR Recognition for Students

[This opportunity is not affiliated with the Department or Faculty of Arts & Science. Registration fees may apply. We share this opportunity at the request of the organizers in case it is of interest to our student body. Participation is as the sole discretion of the individual.]

The Centre for Community Partnerships allows students to get experience in community involvement through various volunteering opportunities, as well as get recognized on their co-curricular record.

Community Days Project is one of the program where once a month, students and the volunteer coordinator gets together and connects with one of our community partners (this year, they are the St. Alban’s Boys and Girls Club, and Kensington Health) to spend a couple of hours participating in a number of activities with them. Such activities may include (but not limited to): arts and crafts, listening to music, sports, swimming, and more!

Community Days provides our volunteers with skills which will improve their post-secondary learning experience and enable them to receive recognition on their CCR. Since the project also only requires a few hours out of their timetable, it is a great way to get involved and learn more about the community work around them!

For sign-up, please follow the following steps:

  3. Before registering for one or more of the Community Days, please confirm that you have space in your schedule to commit to volunteering that day

  4. After registering for one or more of the Community Days, you will receive an email closer to the event date confirming your spot and other details
