Your Role and Responsibilities
This position resides in Markham, Ontario, and is an 8-month work term commencing September 2021. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.
As part of DevOps for Enterprise Systems group working on the IBM Application Discovery & Delivery Intelligence product (ADDI), you will join our mission and commitment in delivering state of the art software technology in our modern tools platform. ADDI uses cognitive technologies to analyze mainframe applications, quickly discovers and understands inter-dependencies and impacts of changes, and assists in application re-factoring through learning key business terms and business rules in the application. As an AI Software Developer intern, you are part of a highly focused, self-managed Agile team who designs, develops, tests & deploys applications. The team has embraced the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology for agile teams, and the Whitewater tool set, making extensive use of GitHub, ZenHub, Travis, and Slack.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Must be eligible for an 8 month work term beginning in September 2021
- A self-starter, quick learner, and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Working knowledge of Java & Python programming language
- Working knowledge of microservices & REST architectures
- Working knowledge of DevOps practices
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Working knowledge of AI / Data science libraries including PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas, and NetworkX
- Working knowledge of test automation and test management tools (e.g. Cypress & Protractor)
- Working knowledge building deep learning data models (using TensorFlow or Keras)
- Working knowledge of Docker
- Co-op or internship program enrollment is preferred
Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
