Science Rendezvous has now opened the call for its executive team for our 2020 festival, and the deadline is THIS SUNDAY!
Science Rendezvous at the University of Toronto (St. George Campus) is a student-run organization that aims to promote general scientific consciousness to the public, particularly to youth and their families. We host Canada’s largest science outreach festival by bringing science out of the lab and onto the street, reaching over 25,000 visitors annually at the St. George Campus. Our aim is to increase public involvement in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.). This event offers visitors the chance to interact with world-class researchers, witness awe-inspiring demonstrations, partake in hands-on experiments and, above all, have fun while discovering S.T.E.A.M. in a whole new way!
We are now actively recruiting for positions within our executive committee that will be organizing our May 2020 event. We are seeking individuals who not only have a keen interest in scientific outreach, but who have or would like to gain experience with event planning (involving strong leadership, organizational skills, budgeting, and coordinating with external groups).
