TECHNICA: Campus Ambassador Program

[This opportunity is not affiliated with the Department, Faculty of Arts & Science, or University of Toronto. Registration fees may apply. We share this opportunity at the request of the organizers in case it is of interest to our student body. Participation is as the sole discretion of the individual.]

Technica is the world’s largest all-women and non-binary hackathon that was founded at the University of Maryland-College Park. We support equal representation for minorities in STEM, and work to promote an environment that gives our participants a safe space to share their amazing ideas, regardless of how big or small those might be.

Given University of Toronto’s distinguished CS department and active role in encouraging the diversification of the tech sphere, we’d like to personally invite the students to show their Toronto pride by applying to be a Technica 2019 Campus Ambassador!

Students selected as Campus Ambassadors would be responsible for:

  • Coordinating bus pickup locations from your campus, to Technica

  • Setting up Technica information booths on your campus

As a part of our merit-based perks system, Campus Ambassadors receive:

  • Custom Technica merchandise

  • Individual features on our social media pages

  • Exclusive sponsored prizes

Those interested can apply through https://gotechnica.typeform.com/to/GPv3xb !
All applications are due by Monday, July 8th at 11:59PM, but students who apply early will receive best consideration.

We look forward to working with your students, who will represent University of Toronto at Technica 2019!
