Specialisterne Canada is recruiting!

[This opportunity is not affiliated with the Department, the Faculty of Arts & Science, or the University of Toronto. Registration fees may apply. We share this opportunity at the request of the organizers in case it is of interest to our student body. Participation is as the sole discretion of the individual.]

Specialisterne Canada is a non-profit organization that specializes in working with employers to help them recruit and integrate individuals on the autism spectrum or who face similar challenges in the employment market, including people with ADHD/ADD, OCD, clinical anxiety, learning disabilities and other similar ways of being. We recognize this population can be disadvantaged in standard hiring processes and therefore often end up under or unemployed, despite innate talent and great academic achievements.

We are currently working with RBC, CIBC and TD Bank Group to help them recruit for emerging talent roles in IT (as well as some others in business etc). This is a great opportunity for graduating students, looking to gain valuable work experience in an accommodating environment where they are offered all the support they may need. This may also be a great opportunity for Alumni who have not yet been able to secure employment. The roles are of various levels so both under and postgraduate students are encouraged to apply.

More information about these opportunities can be found here.
