PythonTA Software Developer Summer Internship
Professor Liu is looking for two student software developers to work full time (up to 36.25 hours per week) between May 1 and August 18 (14 weeks) at $27.20 per hour plus holiday pay. Work will occur in Bahen, on the St. George campus, during normal business hours.
The successful candidates will be responsible for contributing to the development of PyTA (https://github.com/pyta-uoft/pyta), a static code analysis tool aimed to support beginner programmers in Python. Responsibilities include implementing and testing new features for use in Fall 2018. The successful candidates will also be responsible for bug fixes and will be expected to adhere to the software process used by the team.
Expertise with the Python programming language is required; development occurs in Python, and the target language of analysis is also Python. Demonstrated knowledge of abstract syntax trees and compilers is an asset.
